Annnd, I'm Back

The Twins & I in Florida. At our best
I returned home from vacation on Friday and unlike other times, I was more than ready to be home. Don't second guess yourself, Florida was beautiful and I enjoyed my time there, but I missed my routine and I missed my friends.

The trip down was nothing short of exhausting and eventful. Between arriving to the airport five hours early and sitting next to a woman's roller durby team, there was plenty to keep me entertained. Upon arriving in Florida, I began my vacation immediately by jumping into bed and slept well into mid-afternoon the next day. Most of vacation was spent sleeping or tanning, I made sure not to misuse a single ray of sunshine or take for granted a series of yawns. I got a handful of much needed sleep and ended up leaving with a nice little tan (or burn if you're a negative kind of person).

Anyhow, it's been a few days back and I'm just now slipping back into my reality, which I love. Here, why don't I catch you up on this silly reality of mine, (if you don't mind)

1. The pizza place I've spoke once or twice about has offered me a position I just couldn't turn down.
2. That being said, I bid my farewells at Famous Daves and it was hard.
3. I'm still serving at the cafe below my apartment. Which reminds me, I need to stop in and see when it is that I work next....
4. I had THE most fun I've had in a long time Easter night. (nothing to do with easter)
5. I have two really good friends and they're both so funny sometimes.
6. I got to spend a night with my sweet niece and we read books, played with toys and cuddled. It was much needed.
7. I FINALLY did a once over of my apartment. Cleaned and rearranged it in a way that I actually like.
8. I sat down to pay my bills this morning and couldn't get myself to follow through.
9. Funny enough, I'm running out of things to say.. ... .
10. I really love everything happening right now. I'm in a good place.

Two Separate Pictures from Easter Night. Nothing to Do With Easter.

.....................

Oh! And by the way, incase you are wondering, I missed Evan a little bit in Florida. But it really never hit me like I assumed it would. Memories are good and fun, nothing sad about that.

Hm, a lengthly post on my part, for me at least. Thanks a bunch for reading, or looking, or nothing. Until the next post

Guess What, Guys?

A Picture Evan Took

I'm LEAVING FOR FLORIDA
(t-minus six days)

This time will be a wee bit different though. No early morning walks on the beach with my sweetheart, no walks around St. Pete buying fake wedding rings, no kisses by "Porno Pat"and no late night talks about moving and raising a family in Florida. I get a little teary eyed thinking like that, I'll miss his sweet smile as he follows me around. Here's to wishing you were hoping on that plane with me, Evan. And here's to wishing we were who we once were. I love you.

BUT!
This time will be a lot of lazy days spent on the beach, late night walks with sisters who I don't see nearly enough of, early morning self time and beer drinking all to myself.

I'm nervous. I know every turn of a corner will remind me of him and make me wish he was with, but I'll keep strong. I'm spoil myself and I will appreciate the time alone.

Regardless, this is a much needed mini-vacation for me. I will enjoy every second of it, happy and sad. Memories are nice, everyone needs them.

See you when I get back!

Tuesday Morning/Afternoon

The building across from my apartment. She's so pretty.
Tuesday afternoons are usually when I try and get a few things done. I woke up this morning debating on either going to the mall to get some vacation shopping done, cleaning my apartment, paying bills or begin packing. I did a few of each. I drove to my local Target, did some shopping, called American Family and payed my bill, than began to clean my room but then just started packing instead. So really, I didn't accomplish one goal in it's entirety but instead got a head start on all of them little by little. May not have been what I had planned, but it worked out nicely. Hopefully tonight when I'm off work I can finish cleaning because this little apartment needs some serious tendre love and care.

In other news, I'm only twenty days away from hoping on a jet plan to FLORIDA. Truly one of my favorite places in the world. I haven't been for roughly two years and I am extremely overdue for some sunshine and quality time spent doing absolutely nothing. #soexcited.

Also, I chopped a good six inches of my locks off. Am I sad? Yeah, I guess I am a little, but when you have fifteen minutes in the morning to be to work, long hair just isn't your friend, especially if each of your three jobs requires you to wear your hair up. It just get's heavy and fairly unattractive.

What else can I inform you of... I'm really freaking exhausted. If I had it my way, I'd be sleeping 30 hours a week and spending my awake time with people who are not co-workers. Why does money have to be such a problem. Again, not something I'd do if I had my ideal life.

Until next time, whenever that'll be.
